Here is my crit of my fellow colleagues I had to do:
Gabrielle Kate Hanna
She had an awesome idea of versatility and designed adjustable walls and shelves where the seller could move everything around to accommodate the items and even the neighbours when they wanted more room!
Gabrielle also said how she wanted to think of the consumers more as people more than simply buyers.
Her design was very cute and intricate. Could tell that a lot of thought had been put into it when she answered all the questions I asked very quickly!
Han Chen
Han had a very nice model! It was one of a globe made of stacked pieces of laser cut perspex. Could tell that it had taken AGES. He also described it as a 'multidimensional' space because he had the shape of a cube in the middle and sphere on the outside- it looked really cool! It was a place where people would go to sit down and talk to one another and make phone calls.
His theme was one of communication, especially of digital i.e. virtual etc.
The view through the sphere was one of a warped one which was good in conveying the warped view from physical to digital communication (deep as).
I could tell that a lot of time (and money) had been put into this section!
April Broderick
April also had a very aesthetically pleasing model! It was pretty and in my opinion exactly what she wanted to end up with.
She laser cut a piece of card (I think) then had coloured cellophane and lit it up. The pictures she took were amazing!
Her idea was to have a stall where flowers and fragrances were sold. The use of the shapes that had been cut into the card and the different colours as a metaphor for fragrances was a great idea! They went together well.
Twas a nicely designed stalled indeed!
All very good efforts and I look forward to doing this next lot of stuff!
